One of the highlights of the celebration is the Drum and Lyre competition which was held September 11, 2018, at the university amphitheater. For the High School category, the Champion was Luisa Medel National High School. The Best Majorette was also grabbed by LMNHS. 1st runner-up was Emiliano Lizares National High School, and Tabao National High School landed in the 2nd runner-up while Our Lady of Purity Academy was named 3rd runner-up. For the Elementary division, the Champion, as well as the title holder for Best Majorette, was the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Elementary School, while the 1st runner-up place went to the Andres Bonifacio Elementary School.
