Twenty three new UNO-Rian CPAβs were embraced by the PICPA (Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants) as new bona fide members at Sugarland hotel, Bacolod City last November 9, 2012. The university garnered a passing rate of 56.10% while the national passing rate is 47.78%.Β Β Present in the oath-taking ceremony were the faculty of the College of Business and Accountancy of UNO-R namely: Dr. John Clifford Salugsugan, Dean of CB & A;Β Mrs. Conie Po, CPA, MBA, Department Head;Β Mrs. Merilyn G. Cheng, CPA, MBA;Β Ms. Ma. Charo Razonable, CPA;Β and Ms. Reena Mae Vidaurrazaga, CPA.Β Β The oath-taking was administered b Ms. Lily Ann R. Baldago, Region 6 Director of the Professional Regulation Commission. It was followed by the induction of new PICPA members by PICPA Western Visayas Regional Director, Dr. Felix D. Cena.Β Welcome address was given by Lorena D. LosaΓ±es, President of PICPA Negros Occidental Chapter and Closing Remarks by Atty. Lorebette G. Grandea, Executive Vice-President of PICPA Negros Occidental Chapter.
