SCHOLARSHIP GRANT

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE

The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos provide the gift of education to deserving youth of the province of Negros Occidental and its neighboring provinces through Educational Aide Programs. The Scholarship Office exercises supervision and coordination of all student scholarship-related activities of the University. The creation of the Office of the Director of Scholarships centralizes all the scholarship programs of the University, and acts as companion to scholars and grantees in their continuous search for truth and wisdom. This office is a manifestation of the Augustinian Recollect Mission to serve and assist the weak and the poor.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP (For Incoming Grade 7, Grade 11 and 1st Year College - Graduated With Honors)

  • with 98 – 99% GWA – 100% Discount on Tuition Fee only
  • with 95 – 97% GWA – 50% Discount on Tuition Fee only
  • College Admission Test (CAT Scholarship) / Senior High School Entrance Scholarship
    • He / She must take the test on the specified dates only; A cut-off score determines the qualification of the examinee
      • 100% Discount on Tuition Fee only
      • 50% discount on Tuition Fee only
    • ENTRANCE Scholarship is for one (1) year, provided, he/she maintains a grade of not lower than 87% in all of his/her subjects.

RESIDENT SCHOLARSHIP

  • This is for Regular Students who have stayed in this University for at least one (1) year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Academic-Entrance Scholar during 1st year in college
  • No grade below 87 in all subjects
  • Minimum GWA is 91:
    • 95% above = 100% Discount on Tuition Fee only
    • 93 – 94% = 50% Discount on Tuition Fee only
    • 91 – 92% = 25% Discount on Tuition Fee only

  • Grades from previous semester

COLLEGE OF LAW

  • Recipient of Baccalaureate Honors (Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Cum Laude) are given 100% discount on TF provided he or she enrolls immediately following the school year of his/her graduation from the baccalaureate degree program.
  • SLEE (College of Law Entrance Examination) Scholarship:
    • He / She must have taken the College of Law Entrance Examination during the schedule set by the College of Law and the College Guidance Center for the CLEE;
    • He must have an Above Average Result in the MENTAL ABILITY TEST and at least 87% in the Entrance Examination given by the School of Law;
    • The discount on tuition fees depends on the result:
      • 100% Discount on Tuition Fee only. For the applicant who garnered
        the highest result in both areas;
      • 75% Discount on Tuition Fee only. For the applicant who garnered
        the 2nd place in the test result in both areas;
      • 50% Discount on Tuition Fee only. For the applicant who garnered
        the 3rd place in the test result of both areas.
    • SLEE Scholarship is for one (1) year, provided, he maintains a grade of not lower than 87% in all of his subjects.

  • Must PASS the auditions.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE

OAR SCHOLARSHIP

  • This scholarship is extended to Family members of the Recollects only.

RECOLETOS EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE FOR DESERVING STUDENTS (READS)

This program is for financially handicapped but deserving students who are willing to be assigned in any offices or laboratories of the university as a training ground for them for future employment.

PRIVILEGES: FREE tuition and miscellaneous fees plus a monthly allowance.

REQUIREMENTS:
