AUTONOMOUS STATUS
The University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos (UNO-R) was granted Autonomous Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through CEB Resolution No. 073-2025, affirming its sustained commitment to academic excellence, institutional quality, and effective governance. This distinction recognizes the University’s strong performance in instruction, research, extension, and quality assurance, while providing greater flexibility to innovate and strengthen its academic programs.
