UNO-RECOLETOS GREEN FORWARD

Sustainable Development Goals

The University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos, Incorporated (UNO-R) integrates environmental stewardship into its academic mission and operations by promoting sustainable development, responsible resource management, and compliance with environmental regulations. Guided by its Augustinian Recollect values of Scientia and Caritas, the University advances initiatives that promote quality education, good health and well-being, responsible resource management, clean energy, climate action, and meaningful partnerships for sustainable development.

Across UNO-Recoletos’ seven colleges, sustainability is integrated into teaching, research, and community extension. Each college contributes through discipline-specific initiatives that promote environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and ethical leadership, empowering students to create meaningful and lasting impact for society.

Inspired by our Augustinian Recollect heritage, we view sustainability not merely as an institutional program, but as a fundamental principle shaping our entire academic identity.

Rev. Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR
