Two former students of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos participated in the World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal. Veronica Therese Avenido, RMT, and Beah Marie Ganarias, RPh, are both volunteers of the Campus Ministry Office.
Avenido and Ganarias are members of the Student Catholic Action of the Philippines UNO-R College Unit and the Recollect Augustinian Youth de Bacolod Community. They were invited under the delegation of the Notre Dame de Vie Philippines. Prior to World Youth Day, they also participated in a pilgrimage in France and Spain. We pray for the safety of our dear sisters in their pilgrimage and World Youth Day journey as they respond with haste to the call of God to them.
