The OAR community of Bacolod celebrated last September 16, 2012 at the UNO-R Main lobby, the Centenary of the Pope St. Pius X Papal brief “Religiosas Familias” which elevated the Congregation to a Major Religious Order of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebration started with the 8 am Concelebrated Mass with the UNO-R employees at the oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentino. Light snacks were served and games were sponsored by Fr. Cornelio Moral, OAR. Fr. Moral also gave the highlights of the history of the OAR while Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR read the English version of the Papal brief. In the afternoon, the religious congregations in the Diocese of Bacolod were invited to join the OAR in their jubilation. Fr. Constantino Real,OAR, Recoletos de Bacolod House Prior, led the community in praying the “Angelus” and gave his welcome message. Then , the Vespers were led by Fr. Antonio Limchaypo, OAR and Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR. After dinner, Assistant House Prior, Rev. Fr. Cornelio Moral, OAR, gave the rationale of the occasion and the history of the Order. Rev. Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR read the “Religiosas Familias”. Afterwhich, Sr. Myrna Concepcion, OSA of LCC-Bacolod invited the guest for a toast to the Jubilee. Rev. Fr. Walthrode Conde, OAR read in Spanish the message of Very Rev. Fr.Miguel Miro, OAR, Prior General while Rev. Fr. Jorge Peligro, OAR read the message of the Prior Provincial Rev. Fr. Lauro Larlar, OAR. Bacolod Bishop Vicente Navarra, D.D. ,in his message, reminded all present of the role of the missionaries in the Church. He also told them to continue the evangelization that the forebears have planted. The occasion closed with Rev. Fr. Buñao thanking the guests for joining them in their jubilee.
