The College of Arts and Sciences held its 3rd Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Expo (A+SURE), March 14 at the Mass Communication Studio at 1 pm. It opened with the Welcome Remarks of Fray Jose Alden B. Alipin, OAR and the Inspirational Message of the University Director for Research and Planning Dr. Mona Freda Secondes. The four departments of the college (Mass Communication, Psychology, Social Work and Agriculture presented their best theses on their specific areas. The mechanics of the presentation was read by Ms. Laarni Muzones. The best in Oral Presentation award went to the Mass Communication Department represented by Carmen Jesusa Legaspi on their study about the level of familiarity of Media Jargons by the students and faculty of the college. Other presentors were Kaye Aguirre of Social Work Dept.; Manuel Labiana of the School of Agriculture and Daniella Prietos of the Psychology Department. Meanwhile, on the Thesis Poster Presentation, the winner was School of Agriculture’s Jewel Mae Hortillosa and Jed Paltriguera. (data from CAS Office).
