UNO-R Offers BSBA-Banking

The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos made another milestone in the world of Commerce by offering Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Banking (BSBA-Banking).  It is the first banking curriculum developed by the Bankers’ Association of the Philippines and the Philippine Association of Collegiate Schools of Banking and UNO-R is the fist instution to implement the curriculum. This is a 4 year course that prepares bank personnel for the country. Graduates of this degree program has sure employment for banks will no longer train their personnel for these graduates are trained for Bank operation and management.

In a simple launching ceremony attended by bank officials of the City, Fr. Dionisio Cachero, OAR, University President disclosed that this is a degree program that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilinas, the BAP and the PACSB- endorsed.  Mr. Marlo de la Peña – Montelibano, President of the Bankers’ Club of Negros Occidental, Inc. was the Guest Speaker . He congratulated UNO-R for finding new avenues that could help the Banking sector of the province.

Dean John Clifford Salugusugan gave the opening remarks. Dr. Angelus C. Diamante, Head of the UNO-R Business Department gave the overview of the new curriculum.  The affair ended with the closing remarks given by Dr. Rizalie Mibato.

CBA ACHIEVERS
