The Senior High School Welcoming Rites baptized 677 students today with the efforts of the student volunteers from the University’s Junior High School Department and the Senior High School facilitators in the University Gymnasium with the theme, “Tatak Rekoleto: Baptism of Faith and Excellence.” The event informed the students of the Recollect Core Values and the Tatak Rekoleto spirit. Rev. Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR, VP-Student Welfare, instilled to the student the love for learning and the passion for excellence. “Love will always come your way,” Fr. Gabinete said. Students from different strands interacted with each other through the games and the trivias prepared by the student volunteers and a community singing of the song, “We’re All In This Together.” Dr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Director for External Affairs gave the welcome remarks in behalf of the University President, Rev. Fr. Eduardo Celiz, OAR. (Marielle D. Makilan, SHS)
