2 books on St. Ezekiel Moreno will be launched at UNO-Recoletos. The book entitled, “Saint Ezekiel Moreno: Augustinian Recollect Icon of Holiness in the Mission will be launched on September 7, 10 am at the UNO-R President’s Hall. The book is authored by Dr. Dennis V. Madrigal, Prof. Emmanuel Luis A. Romanillos; Fr. Angel Martinez Cuesta, OAR and Fr. Pablo G. Panedas, OAR. The other book is entitled, “St. Ezekiel Moreno: Studies on his Missionary Activity in the Philippines authored by Prof. Romanillos; Fr. Cuesta; Fr. Panedas; and Fr. Eugenio Ayape, OAR; The activity is spearheaded by the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Fray Luis de Leon Library. The books will also be launched in Santo Tomas de Villanueva Formation Center in San Carlos City and in the University of San Jose-Recoletos, Main Campus, Cebu City on September 8 and 10 respectively. The program will open with the welcome message from the President of the Recoletos Educational Apostolate in the Philippines (REAP), Recoleto de Bacolod Local Prior and UNO-R VP for Finance, Fr. William Emilito Villaflor, OAR. Fr. Cristituto Palomar, OAR, UNO-R VP for Religious Affairs will give the rationale of the Book launching and of the celebration of the Extraordinary Mission Month. Dr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr., UNO-R Director for External Affairs will give the background of the book and the authors. The UNO-R Religious Education faculty members and students will read excerpts from the book, highlighting the missionary activity of St. Ezekiel Moreno. Dr. Madrigal and Prof. Romanillos will give their words of gratitude and little talk about their book. This will be followed by the giving of signed complimentary copies to the guests led by Bishop Patricio Buzon, SDB, D.D. and Bishop Emeritus Vicente Navarra, D.D. Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana, OAR, UNO-R President, will give the closing remarks.
