3-day U-Wide planning sessions were held at the President’s Hall last July 22, 23, and 24.
The opening day began with an invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Vice President for Administration Rev. Fr. Leonardo Pauligue, OAR, welcomed the participants, while PEAO Director Dr. Carlos Eduardo I. Legaspi Jr. presented the assessment mechanics and house rules. The three-day activity opened with the End-term assessment reporting.
This annual activity is aimed at reviewing institutional performance and strategies that strengthened operations and enhanced services during Academic Year 2025-2026. Spearheaded by the Planning and External Affairs Office (PEAO), in collaboration with the Office of the University President, the assessment gathered representatives from academic and administrative units to present accomplishment reports, evaluate outcomes, and provide recommendations to guide strategic planning for the next academic year.
Reports were organized into five operational clusters, with morning sessions highlighting accomplishments from the colleges, graduate school, senior high school, and academic support offices.
In the afternoon, administrative and student service units presented their achievements in areas such as information technology, human resource management, finance, property management, quality assurance, internationalization, planning, and marketing. Throughout the sessions, administrators assessed accomplishments, discussed operational challenges, and shared recommendations to enhance institutional effectiveness.
The day concluded with an open forum, fostering collaboration and alignment of initiatives with the University’s strategic priorities. Closing remarks were delivered by Secretary to the President Dr. Ma. Judy Legaspi, followed by a prayer. Marketing Office OIC-Director Mr. Kit Martin De Paula served as Master of Ceremonies for the 1st day.
The second and third days focused on the formulation of the University-wide 5-Year Development Plan and the finalization of the Calendar of Activities. Quality Assurance Director Dr. Melona Guitche opened the sessions with a talk on sharpening objectives, followed by an open forum. Attendees then divided into seven teams, each corresponding to a component of the 7-Point Agenda: CARITAS: Christian Evangelization and Formation; Academic Excellence, Augustinian Pedagogy, Research, and Innovation; Transformative Community Building; Integral Human Development; Technology and Infrastructure Upgrade; Accreditation, Certification, and Quality Assurance; and Sustainable Local and International Partnerships and Alumni Engagement. After evaluating existing plans and brainstorming new initiatives, each group presented its findings.
