The University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos, Incorporated, represented by participants from the College of Engineering and College of Information Technology officially sent off its delegation to the Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) Sustainability Immersion Program 2026, marking another milestone in the University’s commitment to internationalization.
Hosted by UMN, the program involves a three-week leg, where the first week focused on onboarding online sessions (July 13-17), an onsite immersion program (July 19-24), and a post-activity leg (July 27-31), bringing together 140 participants from different countries to explore sustainability initiatives, engage in academic discussions, and experience Indonesia’s rich culture.
Representing UNO-R in this year’s immersion program are students Mara Khleia Ortega (BS Chemical Engineering) and Elaine Casipe (BS Computer Science), together with faculty representatives Engr. Ashraf Khater (Program Head, Chemical Engineering) and Mr. Joshua Dela Cruz (Program Head, Information Technology).
The participants have been officially accepted by UMN and will take part in academic sessions, collaborative learning activities, institutional visits, and cultural immersion experiences aimed at broadening their global perspectives and strengthening their understanding of sustainability in the ASEAN context.
