7th Province-wide Newscasting Competition

ABS-CBN – Bacolod in cooperation with UNO-Recoletos launched the opening of the 7^th Province – wide Newscasting Competion last August 2, 2012 at  Robinson’s Place Fountain Area, 3:30 P.M.  Rev. Fr. Jorge Peligro,OAR, Mrs. Lelanie Salem –Alba, ABS-CBN Station Manager,  gave their messages during the program.  Also present were: Rev. Fr. Emeterio Buñao,OAR;  Rev. Fr. Cornelio Moral,OAR;  Dean Nieves Pepito, Dr. Carlos Legaspi, Jr., Mrs. Adelyn Sia and the faculty of the English and Mass Communication Departments.   After the launching, the first screening of participants followed wherein 104 elementary pupils, 185 high school and 105 college students from all over Negros Occidental took part. The screening ended almost 10:30 p.m. due to the big number of participants.   The second and third screening will be on Aug.11 and 18 at the Fr. Cuenca Hall.  Registration will be from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.
