UNO-Recoletos Hosts 2nd Recoletos Scout Jamboree ( Visayas )

The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos will host this year’s 2^nd Recoleto Inter-School Scout Jamborette in the Visayas with the theme: “Be CHALLENGED: Leadership for Change”, October 24 -29, 2014 at UNO-R Campus. Participated by 150 Students from Recoletos schools in the Visayas: University of San Jose –Recoletos, Balamban; USJR, Basak campus,Cebu;  Colegio San Nicolas deTolentino –Recoletos, Talisay;  San Pedro Academy, Valencia; and San Pedro Academy-Recoletos, Caidiocan.  Scouting has been an integral part in the total formation of young Recoletos students to become future leaders in their chosen career and in facing life’s challenges ahead of them. It aims to bring boys and leaders to a clear understanding and appreciation of the ideals of scouting; to emphasize the importance and need of physical fitness and conservation of natural resources in today’s world; and to establish and promulgate Scouting activities and methods which will find their ways into regular program of Boy Scout Units among Recollect Schools. October 24 is the Registration and pitch camp  and Living Rosary;  October 25 is the official opening.  (Plinky Garcia, BSMC II)
