BACOLOD CITY, PHILIPPINES — Student teachers from the College of Education at the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos (UNO-R) took a major step toward globalizing their teaching careers through an orientation and preparatory session for the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP). The program prepares delegates for their upcoming teaching internship at Darasamutr School in Thailand.
The orientation equipped the student interns with cross-cultural teaching strategies, international classroom management skills, and essential guidance on living and teaching in Thailand. Designed to broaden pedagogical perspectives, the SIAP initiative enables UNO-Rians to integrate global standards of instruction while sharing Filipino educational excellence abroad.
During their stint at Darasamutr School, the interns will be immersed in foreign language instruction, co-teaching, and cultural exchange activities. The experience aims to sharpen their adaptability, communication, and curriculum delivery in international settings.
This deployment reinforces UNO-R’s commitment to providing world-class educational experiences and fostering international academic partnerships that prepare students to excel in an increasingly interconnected world.
