The Division Schools Press Conference 2016 bestowed the Over All Championship trophy and the Championship Trophy for Filipino Events to UNO-R High School’s Starlight, Oct. 8-9. Senior High and Junior High departments converged to claim gold in the following events: SHS Krisha Faye Bolido (News Writing Fil), SHS Edgar Philip de Asis (Copy reading Fil), JHS Danell Jumayao (Sports Writing Fil), SHS Jan Federick Bantay (Photojournalism Fil), and JHS Hazel Lorraine Herida (Sci-Tech Writing Fil). Moreover, Senior high school contenders bagged places to join the gold medalists in the regionals: Windsor Linus Sumbillo (2nd place, Editorial Cartooning Fil), Aleah Angeli Glenn de Leon (4th place, Feature Writing Fil), Junlene Bless Espiso (6th place, Copy reading Eng), Icah Mae Salo (7th place, Editorial Writing Fil). Other DSPC participants were Andrei John Ea, Lynrose Tordesillas, Kathleya Faith Cobing, Joshua John Noble, Andrea Bea Arca, Angela Musang and Marielle Makilan. Starlight SHS is coached by Mrs. Ma.
