Mr. Nobuaki Yanagisawa, Senior Manager, International Division of Saitama Prefecture, Japan and staff, Mr. Kazuya Oshima with USJR Dean of the College of Engineering Dr. Virgilio Y. Abellana visited the university last February 17, 2017. The visit was to explore a possible partnership with the Saitama Prefectural Government in Japan. Saitama with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is a partner of USJ-R College of Engineering. The project is tagged as “Saitama-Cebu Comprehensive HR Monozukuri project”. This project is aimed at training engineering students with the Japanese craftsmanship of making things or “Monozukuri”. Dean Abellana wants to bring this opportunity to the university. They were met by Rev. Fr. Enrico Peter Silab, OAR; Rev. Fr. Albert Pellazar, OAR; UNO-r College of Engineering Dean Christopher Taclobos; and Department Heads: Dr. Owen Martir; Engr. Rolando Escalona; and Engr. Yolanda Fernandez.
