Ash Wednesday ushers in the season of Lent.
The university community observed Ash Wednesday, March 1. Schedules of Masses and imposition of ashes were: 7:30 – Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR with the Grade School pupils; 9:00 am – Fr. Enrico Peter Silab, OAR with the Senior High School students; 10:45 – Fr. William Villaflor, OAR with the Junior High School students; 3 pm – Fr. Perzius Joseph Decena, OAR with COEd, COEng, CNAHS, and CIT; 4:30 – Fr. Albert Pellazar, OAR with the CAS, CCJE, CBA and all offices.
CMO reminded everyone that Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of Fasting and Abstinence while all Fridays of Lent are days of Abstinence. Penance, Doing of good works and charitable acts are also encouraged during the season of Lent.
