7 WHFI Students Complete UNO-R BLesD Program

Seven students from Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. (WHFI) completed the Baking Lessons for the Deaf Program offered by UNO-R under the College of Business and Accountancy Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) Department.

At the Closing Program last April 26, 2009 held at the UNO-R lobby after the 8:00 AM Mass, University President, Fr. Sixto M. Bitangjol, OAR gave the Welcome Address and awarded the Outstanding Trainee.  WHFI Deputy Director, Mrs. Agnes Jalandoni, joined Fr. Bitangjol in recognizing the outstanding trainee while HRM Head, Miss Helen Jill Mattus assisted them during the awarding ceremony.

Certificates of completion were then distributed to the trainees by Fr. Bitangjol and Mrs. Jalandoni.  Miss Mattus delivered the Closing Remarks in behalf of CB&A Dean, Dr. Clifford Salugsugan.   Ms. April Gonzales served as program emcee.  The trainees then treated their guests to a hearty meal through their different cakes and pastries creations.
