GENDER EQUALITY
The University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos (UNO-R) is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and respectful academic community where all individuals, regardless of gender, have equal opportunities to learn, work, lead, and contribute to society. Guided by the principles of human dignity, social justice, and non-discrimination, the University promotes gender equality through institutional policies, inclusive governance, safe campus environments, and equal access to education and professional development.
STRATEGIES
UNO-R advances SDG 5 by:
- Promoting equal access to quality education and employment opportunities regardless of gender.
- Integrating gender equality and inclusion into institutional policies and governance.
- Providing a safe, respectful, and discrimination-free learning and working environment.
- Encouraging equal participation of women and men in leadership, decision-making, research, and community engagement.
