UNO-R Launches Recoletos-DARCO Learning Hub

On October 19, 2026, the Dalayapan Agrarian Reform Cooperative (DARCO) community gathered in Barangay Caduha-an, Cadiz City, for the blessing of the Recoletos-DARCO Learning Hub.

The facility is intended to provide children in the Dalayapan community with closer access to learning opportunities and resources. The blessing was presided over by Rev. Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR. The ceremony brought together representatives and community members who share a commitment to education and local development. Those present included Dr. Shiela Dela Cruz, Director of Libraries; Ms. Rowela Javier, Director of ETEEAP; UCDO coordinators Mr. Rique Hernando and Ms. Justine Joy Genton; members of the Dalayapan community; and Ms. Melma D. Hortelano, Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer of the Department of Agrarian Reform.

The establishment of the Learning Hub supports Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, which calls for inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. By bringing learning support into the community, the hub represents a shared investment in the education and future of Dalayapan’s children.

The blessing marked the beginning of the hub’s role as a welcoming space for learning, growth, and community engagement. It also reflected the cooperation of the Recoletos community, DARCO, the Department of Agrarian Reform, and Dalayapan residents in working to expand educational access for local children.
