BOOK LAUNCHING BY UCDO DIRECTOR

“Love is a verb”. This line was used by Ms. Richelle H. Verdeprado, RSW, MSW, author of “Love and Learning” in her speech during the soft launching of the book at Two Pans Café and Resto, January 20, 2017 at around 3:00 PM. The book is a compilation of thoughts and experiences by Ms. Verdeprado.  It was presented to the public for orders and reservations.  Ms. Richelle is currently the Director of the University Community Development Office (UCDO), the University’s arm in all outreach activities.  People who contributed both in the pre-publication, publication and post-publication were given a chance to give their insights about the book.  Mr. Jade T. Miraflores, Executive Director of the Sowing Legacy Movement, shared the journey of the Sowing Legacy Movement from how it begun and on how it is today.  Gracing the soft launching of the book was Rev. Fr. Eduardo S. Celiz, Jr., OAR, University President, UCDO-SLM volunteers and students from different schools.  Also present during the activity was Hon. RJ Tuvilla, Councilor of Talisay City, an alumnus of UNO-R and an avid supporter of the organization. The editorial staff of the book are:  Engr. Charles Mangga, Christine Joy Dorias, Rollin Jay Libo-on and Bro. Romel Lagata, TMP also graced the affair.  Ms. Verdeprado, then, distributed the books to those who had their reservations and to those who are willing to buy it. The ever enthusiastic UCDO Director invited everyone again to witness the grand launching of the book “Love and Learning” on February 12, 2017 at SM City Bacolod Atrium.  (Lourd John Diaz, BSMC IV)
