Lots of surprises awaited Mrs. Arabella Ananoria or “Ma’am Belle”, Director of Libraries, as she turned 60 on the 10th of January, Saturday. Her staff from the Fray Luis de Leon Library trooped to Pontevedra early in the morning to serenade her at the break of the day. She broke in tears as she reached the Oratory, for she learned that a Thanksgiving Mass would be celebrated in her honor. Fr. Sixto Bitangjol, OAR, University President, was the Main Celebrant while Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR, House Prior, and Fr. William Villaflor, OAR, VP-Finance, concelebrated with Fr. Bitangjol.

The Research Planning and Development Office (RPDO), in cooperation with the Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School (RBGS), held a day and a half Seminar on “Enhancing Research Culture with Emphasis on Qualitative Research” last November 7-8 at the President’s Hall. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Araceli C. Doromal, Research Director of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, Inc. – Bacolod Campus.
