The City of Bacolod, in cooperation with the Diocese of Bacolod, the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, and the OAR Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, inaugurated the Fr. Mauricio Ferrero, OAR Street along the Manokan Country on January 19, 2009.

Ma’am Belle turns 60

Lots of surprises awaited Mrs. Arabella Ananoria or “Ma’am Belle”, Director of Libraries, as she turned 60 on the 10th of January, Saturday.  Her staff from the Fray Luis de Leon Library trooped to Pontevedra early in the morning to serenade her at the break of the day.  She broke in tears as she reached the Oratory, for she learned that a Thanksgiving Mass would be celebrated in her honor.  Fr. Sixto Bitangjol, OAR, University President, was the Main Celebrant while Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR, House Prior, and Fr. William Villaflor, OAR, VP-Finance, concelebrated with Fr. Bitangjol.

VP-External & CoEd stage Hip Hop High Season 2

The Office of the Vice President for External Affairs and Public Relations, in cooperation with the College of Education, staged Hip Hop High Season 2 on November 28 at the University Gymnasium.

UNO-R Hosts NOPSSCEA Seminars

UNO-R plays host to the Negros Occidental Private School Sports Cultural Education Association (NOPSSCEA) Seminars on “Evolution of Cross Border Education” and “Transactional Analysis for Mentors” today, November 20, at the President’s Hall.

RPDO Sponsors Research Seminar

The Research Planning and Development Office (RPDO), in cooperation with the Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School (RBGS), held a day and a half Seminar on “Enhancing Research Culture with Emphasis on Qualitative Research” last November 7-8 at the President’s Hall.  The seminar was conducted by Dr. Araceli C. Doromal, Research Director of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, Inc. – Bacolod Campus.
