UNO-R signs MOA with JFC

Fr. Sito Bitangjol, OAR, University President, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) represented by its HR Manager for Regional Business Unit – Visayas and Mindanao, Ms. Liz M. Tagimacruz, on March 10 at the President’s Office Conference Room.

Under the MOA, JFC shall offer a program referred to as SEEDS (Skills Enhancement and Eduaction Development for Students) to assist students in pursuing their post – secondary education through the provision of financial assistance while at the same time providing them with practical training to develop their skills, competencies, attitudes, and work values and to enhance their employability upon completion of their courses. On the other, UNO–R shall assist JFC in the screening and selection process of potential participants in the program and in the design of a training module to be carried out at the workplace, and shall be one  of the institutions where student-trainees shall pursue their post-secondary education. JFC coordinates with the Department of Labor for the implementation of this program.

Present at the MOA signing were Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR, Director of Scholarships; Fr. Joel Alve, OAR, Vice President for Student Welfare; Mr. Manolo Pineda, Area Manager of Jollibee Foods Corporation; and the Assistant Regional Director of the Department of Labor.
