The MassComm Department, together with the Arts and Sciences Student Council (ASSC), is holding “U-Diva” – a videoke competition, today until Sept. 11, at the UNO-R Accounting Shed.

Marian Eusoya Is Finalist For “The Many Faces Of Teacher For 2009”

Mrs. Marian Eusoya, head of the Medical Technology Department, has been chosen as one of the 12 short-listed nominees (semi-finalists) in the National Search for “The Many Faces of the Teacher for 2009” sponsored by Bato Balani Foundation, Inc.  This search is an advocacy campaign to recognize and honor Filipino teachers as role models who can inspire excellence by virtue of their dedication to their profession.

 

UNO-R HOSTS 1ST BISHOP-MEDIA FORUM

The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos played host to the 1st Bishop-Media Forum held in the afternoon of June 27 at the President’s Hall.  The forum, which anchored on the theme, “How will Media cover the 2010 Elections?”, was sponsored by the Diocese of Bacolod Commission on Social Communication with the Mass Communication students of Bro. Jaazeal Jakosalem, OAR comprising the different working committees.

The UNO-R Medical Technology Department of the College of Arts and Sciences played host to the 39th PASMETH (Philippine Association of Schools of Medical Technology/Public Health) Convention last April 23-24, 2009 with the theme “Responding to Global Challenges through Educational Innovations”.
