The Student Supreme Government of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos had their elections for the new set of student government leaders for SY 2016-2017 last March 4, 2016, Friday. Team CAUSA’s Hennie Marie T. Berja won with a total 1457 votes over Builders Party standard bearer Lourd John S. Diaz, who garnered 867 votes. The Vice-Presidential spot was given to Builders Party’s Alvin T. Go Ping with 1160 votes. Senatorial seats were taken by Trisha Marie F. Clauor (CAUSA); Blanche R. Sta Maria (Builders), Ma. Lothel S. Alwarez (Builders), Miguel Romualdo M. Lim (Builders), Jean Rose C. Baylon (CAUSA), Carmen Jesusa B. Legaspi (CAUSA), Merry Jean Y. Lim (CAUSA), Ramon B. Dayatan (Builders), Riza Mae F. Camacho (Builders), Mary Franz T. Culi (Builders), Ciarra B. Gendran (CAUSA) and Connie Lou I. Sorgon from Builders. The six new College Governors are Aljohn Christian W. Belera – College of Arts and Sciences; Cindy T. Abaja – College of Business and Accountancy; Jessica Yvon B. Suyo – College of Education; Jose Gino H. Gutierrez – College of Engineering Governor ; Rojean L. Tiñgal – College of Information Technology Governor ; and John Mark V. Mondejar – CNAHS. College of Criminal Justice Education Governor will yet be appointed by the College Dean since there was a candidate for the governorship.
