The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos Basic Education Department had its “Moving –up” and Commencement Exercises. The Pre-elementary Department had their moving-up exercises last March 18 and Grade School Commencement Exercises on March 23. The graduation is led by Jozil Donne D. Cerna (1st Honors) and Princesss Arcel E. Escuadra (Second Honors). The program started with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentino while the graduation rites commenced at 4 pm. Rev. Fr. Persiuz Decena, OAR, Grade School Principal, presented the candidates while Rev. Fr. Eduardo Celiz, Jr., OAR , University President, Accepted the candidates. Distribution of certificates was done by Rev. Fr. Albert Pellazar, OAR, VP-Academics while the giving of awards was led by Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR , Basic Education Director; Fr. Decena; and Mrs. Gearla Manderico, PTA President. Cerna, class first honors, gave the farewell address and Grechelle C. Haro, with honors, led the pledge of loyalty. Graduating with honors are Haro; Leiryn Khate C. Magalona; Rheinhart R. Placido; Stefan G. Niedes; Lannisse Klaine G. Sotocinal; Helary Phil B. Sumbi; Ryan Paolo B. Torres; and Jan Bryan V. Laporno.
