On October 26, 2023, the Commission on Higher Education’s Regional Office VI officially endorsed and expressed no objections to the application submitted by the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos concerning an increase in tuition and other school fees for the academic year 2023-2024. The university’s application highlighted its intent to implement the new rates during the Midterm Examinations scheduled for November 6-10, 2023. The institution has also assured students of a refund for any collected amount related to the increase if the application does not receive final approval from the CHED Central Office.
