The Global Workers of Daegu (DGU) visited UNO-R last Aug. 25. They were met by Rev. Fr. Cristituto Palomar, OAR; Rev. Fr. Ronel P. Gealon, OAR; and Dr. Carlos Eduardo I. Legaspi, Jr. with UCDO Director Ms. Maribel Gonzales, UCDO Coordinators and some Social Work students. The group is composed of Jee Wong Kim; Park Jae Gem; Suk Hyun Sung; Shim Ji Young and Son Min Joo. A program was held last August 27 at RESOURCE. Ms. Gonzales gave the opening remarks while Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana, OAR, UNO-R President gave his message. Mr. Jee Wong Kim, GWD President also gave his message. Mr. Kim gave the Fr. President his donation for the UCDO projects in RESOURCE in return, Fr. Besana gave Medals of gratitude while Fr. Gealon awarded Certificates of Appreciation to GWD representatives. Fr. Gealon, President of RESOURCE – Handumanan, and a parent – beneficiary gave their response messages. The visitors and the community of RESOURCE was entertained by the UNO-R UCDO Coordinators with their Zumba dance workout. Mr. Aaron Kim Gil, RSW, RESOURCE Social Worker gave the closing remarks.
