The Recoletos Online Learning Extension (ROLEx) project conducted its 1st province –wide essay writing contest at the President’s Hall, February 23, 2018. The contest aimed to raise awareness among public and private Secondary schools of the province with regards to project ROLEx. The contest proper was done in the morning. Afterwards a brief presentation, of the project by Dr. Reymund Sabay and Dr. Ma. Corazon Acaba, as well as the awarding ceremony was held in the afternoon. Out of 44 participants, of 22 particpating schools all over the province, 10 students were given recognition in the Hiligaynon category and another 10 in the English category. Airesh Camagos (Emiliano Lizares NHS) , Emil John Catague (NOHS) , Krishna Paula Salcedo (La Castellana NHS), Angelica Prudente (Our Lady of Peace Mission school, Inc.), john Francis Memis (Victorias National High School), Sugar Mae Gabinete (Mansilingan Agro-ind. HS), Isabel Therese Dedel (BCNHS), Joylyn Hope Berina (Sagay NHS), Luigie Sevilla (Dona Monserrat Lopez Memorial HS) and KC Condez (San Enrique NHS) garnered 1st – 10th place respectively in the Hiligaynon Category. While Kayela Ginete (CST-R), Sophia Contiller (Dona Monserrat Lopez Memorial HS), Joshua Fernandez (Sagay NHS), Rei Jenneta Arnita (Mansilingan Agro-Ind. HS), Edcel John Abuňo (handumanan NHS), Lovely Jameszen Berbano (BCNHS), Reymund Cabaybay (DLNHS), Bethl Jane Gamala (Julio Ledesma NHS), Kira Balcedo (Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victoriaas) and Elizabeth Laparan (OLPMS, inc) bagged 1st to 10th place respectively in the English category. (Dr. Nieves H. Pepito)
