Mrs. Ma. Alon Conta-Song, faculty of the Integrated School and School Paper Adviser of Starlight for 13 years, received her Hall of Fame Award from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) of Region 6, for garnering a three-year straight recognition as Best Performing Adviser (2015, 2016, 2017). She was cited by PIA 6 as consistently exhibiting diligent performance in advancing campus journalism as a tool for harnessing student writers’ skills, potentials and active participation in academic and community development. Ms. Song was awarded during the College Press Awards 2017 held December 5 in Iloilo City, Along with her acknowledgement as Best Performing Adviser for 2017, among the Top 10 school paper advisers in the Region.
