The University is applying for its Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC).As required by law that since the university sits on a more than five hectares lot, it should have an ECC issued by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). A requirement of the issuance of ECC is to have a public hearing with the stakeholders and neighboring communities of the University. A Public Hearing was made at the University President’s Hall last March 19, 2019. The group from the university was led by the Father Prior and VP-Finance, Fray William Villaflor, OAR and Property Administrator Fray Jose Teodulfo Jadulco, OAR. Present were Paul Orocio, Jose Ali Belano, and Ruby Cris Villa of DENR Regional office; Nilo Alpon of EMB-RC; Brgy. 40 Chairman Elmer Villanueva; Edna Rose Guico of DepEd, Bacolod; Bacolod City DSSD representative Ramel Palalon; and officers of the Pamilya Rekoleto and Lay Administrators of UNO-R.
