On Saturday, June 4, 2016, the UNO-R CoEd Training Team conducted a seminar-workshop in Effective Communication, Classroom Management, Innovative Teaching Strategies, and Catholic Education among three Diocesan Schools in Southern Negros, namely: San Ramon Catholic School (SRCS) of Su-ay, Himamaylan; Ilog Catholic High School (ICHS); and St. Blas Academy (SBA) of Binalbagan. The training was facilitated by San Ramon Catholic School Alumni Association, with its officers headed by the President, Engr. Angie Rey Golez Tina. The seminar- workshop was hosted by San Ramon Catholic School with its Director, Rev. Father Jose Gerson Te-ad and Principal Yvonne Madalag. The ICHS Director, Rev. Father Richard Lachica also gave his valuable support. Thirty- one eager educators actively engaged in the whole day activity, which began with the registration at 7:30 A.M. and culminated with a dinner at 7:30 PM. The UNO-R CoEd Training Team is composed of Mrs. Ivy Aboy, Dr. Ma. Theresa Chavez, Dr. Ma. Elena Doruelo, Dr. Dennis Madrigal, a special guest, a true- blooded UNO-Rian, and a former head of the UNO-R Social Science Department Ms Jocylin Gallos, and the training director, the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Ma. Riza T. Manalo. The Training Team brings to the educational communities in the locality and in the region the UNO-R CoEd Training Program, the flagship of the Community Outreach Program of the College of Education.
