The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Incorporated sent a delegation to the Regional Initiative for Strategic Excellence in Licensure Examinations (RISE), a convergence of deans and program chairs of criminology, engineering, agriculture, fisheries, accountancy, and allied professional programs at St. Paul’s University, Dumaguete, Aug. 11, 2026.
The conference focused on key findings aligned with the licensure examination performance, especially in addressing the various perspectives aligned with learner readiness and competence.
The sessions involved best practices from various fields of Criminology, Enginering, and Accountancy, which provided institutions across the island with initiatives and other aspects that may be adopted in their respective programs.
The delegation comprised Dean Dr. Jade Snow Dionzon of College of Arts and Sciences, with Program Head Dr. Ryan Sarimong of Agriculture, Dean Dr. Jean Pauyon of College of Criminal Justice Education, with Program Head Ms. Gina Mae Soledad, Assistant Dean Engr. Rose Jean Rosco of College of Engineering, with Program Heads Engr. Ashraf Khater of Chemical Engineering and Engr. Jose Gino Gutierrez of Civil Engineering, and Atty. Dennis Udani of College of Business and Accountancy’s Accountancy program.
This activity is aligned with SDG #4: Quality Education and SDG #17: Partnerships for the Goals.
