The University will confer Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa) to Honorable Congressman Rufus Rodriguez on May 24, 2012 as part of the Golden Anniversary of UNO-Recoletos. Rodriguez will be conferred with the honor for his selfless dedication rendered to Recoletos Education as professor and Dean of the School of Law of San Sebastian College –Recoletos, Manila. The Congressman is also the lay member of the Board of Trustees of University of San Jose-Recoletos, Cebu; San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila; and San Sebastian College, Cavite. He was also conferred as Hermano General of the Order last November 27 during the 1st International Recoletos Education Congress in Cebu City.
Rodriguez joins the ranks of those who were conferred by the University with such honor: Bishop Antonio Fortich, D.D.; Hon. Andres Soriano III; Hon. Claudio de Luzuriaga; Mrs. Milagros Araneta- Villasor; Hon. Juan Alli Aranguren; and Hon. Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco.
