The university will join the Electric Masskara parade on October 19 at Lacson Street of the City. The parade starts at 7 pm and UNO-R will join the contingent from Gaisano City and is assigned at 19, 20 and 21st streets. The Kasadyahan Dance Company dancers will represent the university in their mountain and sea costumes. This year’s theme for Electric Masskara is “Pagkilita-ay… Pakita-ay.” The float will carry the replica of the San Sebastian Cathedral and the sugarcanes , Recoleto legacies to the city. The Cathedral symbolizes the place where people from the mountains and the seas will converge (pagkilita-ay) and after the Mass, they show-off their goods for trade (pakita-ay). The vehicle that will carry the float is sponsored by Engr. Jonathan Briones of Rockline Enterprises.
