The Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Education Association (NOPSSCEA) held the Dance Fest 2014 at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum, December 1, 2014, 2:30 pm. The program started with a prayer and singing of the Philippine National Anthem followed by the contest proper. Folk Dance, Modern Contemporary, and hip-hop were contested by eight Private Schools, namely: John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation; Visayan Maritime Academy; Asian College of Aeronautics; STI-West Negros University; University of Negros Occidental- Recoletos; University of St. La Salle; Riverside College; and Colegio San Augustine – Bacolod. University of Negros Occidental- Recoletos won the 3rd place in Folk Dance. And 3rd in the hip-hop. (Richelle Dema-ala, BSMC intern)
