The University of Negros Occidental –Recoletos Monsters Keepers Club (UNO-RMKC), a campus organization composed mostly of freshmen Animal Science students recently staged an “exhibit for a cause” of their pets at the university auditorium. Endemic reptiles, rodents and insects were staged for the students to learn and appreciate animal behavior. A mini- lecture on the care and handling of pets were given to the guests. Proceeds of the exhibits were donated by MKC President Marvin Guile Alova through Ms. Mely Flores of the University Community Development Office(UCDO) for the relief operations for the victims of typhoon “Yolanda”. The group looks forward for another exhibit at the campus by February 2014.
