University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Supreme Student Government held its annual General Assembly at the University Gymnasium last June 24, at 1:30 PM. The activity opened with the parade of organizations, followed by the doxology performed by the University religious organizations, the singing of the national anthem and the “Ang Bacolodnon” theme song. Rev. Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR, Vice-President for Student Welfare delivered his welcome address. In his speech, Fr. Louie congratulated everyone for writing their own story on that particular day. An intermission number was done by the UNORSSGO officer. DSA Dexter Paul Dioso, MAEd presented the school rules and policies. The Kasadyahan Dance Company breaks the seriousness of the event with their awesome performances. Afterwards, the game proper started such as: Singtunado, Hokagames, Scarioke, and the Game of the Governors. Mayor-elect and currently Congressman Evelio “Bing” Leonardia was the guest of honor of the activity. In his message, Congressman Leonardia thank UNO-R for planting a good seed of wisdom and passion for leadership to its students. The Mayor-elect even reminisce his memories when he was still the President of SSC of the university way back when he was still studying in UNO-R. The activity ended by 6:30 in the evening.
