The College of Arts and Sciences, Mass Communication Department of the University of Negros Occidental –Recoletos in cooperation with the Office of External Affairs held its 2nd Mass Communication Media Conference tagged as Dabdab sa Pagbantala 2019 with the theme “Keeping the fire of the Media Profession Ablaze.”, held at the university Little Theater. Invited speakers were Mr. Julius Mariveles, Mr. Eugene Adiong and Mr. Rommel Jamero. Dean Annabee M. Claur of the UNO-R CAS and Head of Mass Communication Department gave the Welcome Address and spoke about the importance of Media in today’s society while Dr. Carlos Eduardo I. Legaspi, Jr., UNO-R External Affairs Director, gave the Opening Message. And Mrs. Judy B. Legaspi, MASSCOMM Faculty and MEDCON 2019 chair, gave the Closing Remarks. This is an annual event of the Mass Communications Department of UNO-R where High School students are exposed to the life of journalists, Broadcasters and PR persons.
