In line with the celebration of the Universal Church of the Year of St. Paul, the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros sponsored an exhibit, which formally opened last March 7 at the UNO-R Main Lobby.

His Excellency Vicente M. Navarra, D.D., Bishop of Bacolod, officiated the blessing and cutting of ribbon to mark the formal opening of the exhibits. In his message, Bishop Navarra commended and thanked UNO-R and the organizers of the symposium and art exhibit in honor of St. Paul, considered as one of the pillars of Christian faith and of the Catholic Church.
Several artists displayed their art works using different mediums: Langging Alvarado (acrylic on canvass); Bert Berondo (terracotta); Junjun Berondo (pen and ink); Carlos Legaspi, Jr. (terracotta); Art Magalona (pencil); Alan Diloy (oil on canvass); Bro. Jaazeal Jakosalem, OAR (pen and ink); Agustin Jakosalem (oil on canvass); and many others.
The celebration of the Year of St. Paul covers the period of June 29, 2008 until June 29, 2009. This one year celebration honors the 2000th birth anniversary of St. Paul.
