HANGZHOU, CHINA — The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos (UNO-R), Incorporated visited the AI District in Hangzhou, China on August 10, 2026.
Led by Rev. Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR, President, the UNO-R delegation visited BrainCo, a Hangzhou-based technology company specializing in brain-computer interface (BCI) and artificial intelligence technologies, where they received an orientation and toured its innovation center.
This visit shows the commitment of the university in enhancing its academic environment particularly in technology-based education. It also opens opportunities for collaboration, research and development.
Joining Fr. Alve, are Rev. Fr. Leo G. Alaras, OAR, Vice President for Academics and Research, Dr. Yasmin Pascual-Dormido, LPT, Director of Internationalization Office, and Dr. Agnes Sequiño, Former Director (IZN).
