greenNHEART Hermitage officially inaugurated


The University officially inaugurated the Green Heart Hermitage after a solemn blessing and simple ceremony last November 29 at the Agriculture Area.  Supervised by Bro. Jaazeal Jakosalem, OAR, Property Administrator, the Hermitage was built to become the center of the University’s ecological initiatives and commitment.  This is also where activities related to organic farming, recycling, free-range poultry, and interactive-training will be held.

UCDO Spearheads a Forum on BioFuel

           The University Community Development Office in coordination with Broad Initiative for Negros Development (BIND), Southeast Asia Regional Initiative for Community Empowerment (SEARICE), and Third World Network (TWN), spearheaded a Forum on Biofuel on October 21, 2008 at Fr. Cuenca Hall. Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR, Director of Scholarships, gave the opening and welcome remarks.

 

UCDO conducts Needs Assessment Survey and Ocular Visit

Koloran ta ang Kalibutan: Negros Artists & UNO-R Academic Community celebrate Earth Day 2008

The Art Association of Bacolod – Negros has chosen the perimeter walls of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos  as the venue of the public art mural for the Earth Day 2008 entitled “Koloran ta ang Kalibutan.” From April 19-21, 2008 the Art Association of Bacolod –Negros artists with the participation of UNO-R Web Team artists painted the walls with the environmentally conscious art designs.
