Rev. Fr. Leo G. Alaras OAR received a recognition from the 7th Macau International Choir Festival and Competition (Cantata Macau) last November 29 to December 1, 2024.
Fr. Alaras was awarded for his contribution in the official festival theme song, “Music is Life”, that centered on uniting cultures and the universal language of music.
Emil Cruz, Coro Recoleto’s Conductor, assisted Fr. Alaras in giving precise execution of the theme song in both the opening and closing ceremonies.
Fr. Alaras and Cruz underscored the excellence of the Philippines in music in the international scene. They stand as a testament of the power of music that fosters harmony among nations.
