The Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino–Recoletos (CSNT-R) and the University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos (UNO-R) formally sealed a partnership on June 29, 2026, to enhance student support systems through improved guidance services. The collaboration was solidified with a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing at the UNO-R President’s Conference Room.
Under the agreement, UNO-R will extend its expertise by deploying a Licensed Guidance Counselor to CSNT-R at least twice a month. The counselor will conduct individual and group sessions, facilitate consultations with teachers and parents, and assist in designing and evaluating CSNT-R’s overall guidance program and student interventions. CSNT-R, in turn, commits to providing a confidential and conducive workspace, necessary facilities, and records.
The institution agreed to coordinate schedules at least five working days in advance, with CSNT-R covering transportation and incidental expenses for the counselor’s visits. The landmark agreement was signed by CSNT-R School Director Rev. Fr. Jose Ernil Almayo, OAR, and UNO-R President Rev. Fr. Joel Alve, OAR. In the presence of Dr. Chris Feli Joy Tajonera, UNO-R Student Development and Placement Center Director; Mary Grace Belleza, CSNT-R Guidance Associate; and Myrel Pabillaran, Administrative Assistant to the CSNT-R School Director. This partnership marks a significant step toward strengthening student welfare initiatives, ensuring that learners receive holistic support in both academic and personal development.
