The Hospitality and Tourism students of University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos joined the Sabor Bisaya Competition organized by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Negros Occidental (HRANO) last August 27, 28 and 29 held at the SMX Convention Center. Stella Maris Chua, BSTM II got the 4th rank out of the 12 competing schools for the Tourism Quiz Bee. The fourth year Hospitality Management students; Keith Gestat, Lindy Dioson, and Imee Magbanua got the Bronze award for the On-the-spot creative cake decoration contest. Chaeremon Basa, HTM III, was declared Champion for the Flairtending Challenge (Male Category). The convention was attended by Dean Jelyn Gaspillo, HTM Head Mr. Carlo Coloso, and Ms. Helen Jill Mattus, HTM faculty.
