Dr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr., PRO and Director for External Affairs represented the university in the meeting of Association of Catholic Universities in the Philippines (ACUP) liaison officers’ meeting, July 12, 2019, at the UST Rector’s Hall. Dr. Giovanna Fontanilla, APR of UST Public Affairs office and ACUP Secretary-General welcomed the attendees. Three inputs were given during the meeting. The first talk was on Pope Francis’ Encyclical letter “Christus Vivit” by Mr. Leo –Martin Angelo Ocampo of the UST Institute of Religion, UST. The second was given by Ms. Maria Cristy Daguay, Director of Social Advocacy and Community Engagement office, University of San Agustin, on Community Engagement. The last was on Research by Dr. Nuna E. Almanzor, Executive Director of Center for Research and Development of Adamson University. The afternoon sessions were on planning and proposal of activities in the areas of community engagement, religious instruction, and research collaboration.
