Rev. Fr. Persiuz Joseph Mallari Decena, OAR is the new assigned priest at the university and will be assisting Rev. Fr. Alberto S. Avanzado, OAR as University Chaplain. Father Decena was born on the April 22, 1981 at Lubao, Pampanga. He was the eldest among the three siblings. He received his simple profession on April 29, 2005 at SEM Novitiate-Recoletos, Antipolo City and was ordained at Recoletos Formation Center, Tandang Sora, Quezon City on December 11, 2010. Fr. Decena was first assigned at San Isidro Parish, Island of Cascia, Taytay, Palawan. After one year and five months of serving Taytay, he was then assigned at Casiciaco Recoletos Seminary in Baguio as Dean of Studies for 3 years. Then, he stayed at Rome for only 3 months after his assignment at Baguio. Before his assignment to the university, he served at Ayungon Lourdes Chaplaincy in Negros Oriental.
